In person at the Turkish Embassy or consulate general, with an appointment booked on the Turkish Consular Procedures portal (konsolosluk.gov.tr). The new passport can be collected or mailed to you.

Step by step

  1. Book an appointment in the PASAPORT section of www.konsolosluk.gov.tr.
  2. Attend in person with your documents and sign the application form. Children must attend too.
  3. Pay the fee in cash at the appointment, or online at vezne.konsolosluk.gov.tr with an internationally enabled credit card.
  4. Choose pick-up in person (or by a third party named on the form), or mail delivery with a prepaid tracked envelope. If you choose mail, your old passport is cancelled at the time of application.

Documents to bring

  • Turkish ID card, ID booklet showing your Turkish ID number, or temporary ID document
  • Original expired passport or the passport being renewed
  • One biometric photo taken within the last 6 months
  • Minors: a parent's valid ID and photocopy, and both parents' consent (or a notarized consent from the absent parent); children 12 and older also sign
  • For mail delivery: prepaid, tracked envelope with your name and address, and the signed mail request form
